1. Introduction
Ki-Ki exists to help small organisations sort their web foundations, including domains, email, basic security, and traffic insight. This site gives information about those services and provides a way to contact and work with Ki-Ki.
These terms apply to any use of ki-ki.co.uk, whether you are browsing, reading information, or making contact about possible work.
If you go on to work with Ki-Ki as a client, any services we deliver and how responsibility for content is handled are also governed by any specific written agreement we reach with you and by the Neutral infrastructure policy.
2. Who operates this site
The site is operated by Kieron JH as an independent provider of digital support services based in the North East of England.
For any questions about these terms or the site, contact:
- Email: [email protected]
- Preferred subject line: “Ki-Ki terms of use query”
Ki-Ki is independent. It is not part of a government body or larger agency and does not act as your organisation’s legal representative or data protection officer unless a specific written agreement says otherwise.
3. Using this site and acceptance of terms
By visiting or using ki-ki.co.uk you confirm that you:
- Are at least 18 years old, or are using the site under the supervision of an adult
- Will use the site in line with these terms and with applicable law
- Have read the privacy policy and understand how personal data is handled
If you use this site on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to do so and that your organisation accepts these terms.
4. Intellectual property and brand
Unless clearly stated otherwise, all original content on ki-ki.co.uk is the intellectual property of Kieron JH and Ki-Ki. This includes text, layout, design elements, the Ki-Ki logo and guardian kite crest, and the overall look and feel of the site.
You may:
- Link to public pages on ki-ki.co.uk in a fair and reasonable way
- Quote short extracts with clear attribution and a working link back to the original page
You must not, without prior written permission:
- Copy large portions of content or mirror the site
- Use the logo, crest, or brand styles in a way that suggests partnership or endorsement
- Scrape content at scale for commercial use or for use in competing services
- Repackage content as your own or remove credit from Ki-Ki
5. Acceptable use and technical abuse
Use ki-ki.co.uk in good faith. You agree that you will not:
- Probe, scan, or test the site or its infrastructure for vulnerabilities
- Bypass or try to bypass security features such as rate limits, JavaScript challenges, or fingerprinting controls
- Use bots or automated tools to scrape content, monitor activity, or load pages repeatedly without a sensible reason
- Attempt denial of service attacks or any activity that degrades performance for others
- Impersonate Ki-Ki or misrepresent that you work for or with Ki-Ki when you do not
- Use the site for unlawful purposes or to harass or target any individual or organisation
If you are interested in formal security testing, contact Ki-Ki first. Unauthorised testing, even if claimed to be for research, may be treated as misuse.
6. Logging, monitoring, and security features
For security and reliability, access to ki-ki.co.uk may be logged and monitored. This can include IP address, approximate location derived from that address, user agent, referrer, network information such as ASN, and interactions with security features such as challenges or honeypots.
Cloudflare and static hosting are used to deliver and protect the site. Some security events may be forwarded to Discord as alerts, for example when a Cloudflare Worker detects suspicious or automated behaviour. These activities are described in more detail in the privacy policy.
Logging is focused on keeping the site stable, spotting abuse, and understanding how protection is working. It is not used for commercial profiling or advertising.
7. Services, enquiries, and no guarantee of engagement
Ki-Ki offers web, email, and protection support for SMEs, charities, and community projects. Information on this site describes possible services but does not guarantee that any specific work will be accepted or delivered.
When you send an enquiry, Ki-Ki will consider it and may:
- Offer a call or written follow up
- Provide an outline of suggested work and pricing
- Decline the work where it is not a good fit or capacity is limited
Any actual engagement will be agreed separately, usually by email. Those specific terms, scopes, or statements of work will take priority over any conflicting text on this page.
Any work that follows from an enquiry will be technical and infrastructure focused. Ki-Ki does not act as a publisher, editor, legal adviser, or campaign partner for clients.
For more detail on how client projects and content responsibilities are handled, read the Neutral infrastructure policy.
8. Information only, not advice
Content on ki-ki.co.uk is provided for general information about digital foundations, security, and governance for small organisations. It is not legal advice, regulatory advice, or financial advice.
Decisions that carry legal, regulatory, or financial risk should be taken with appropriate professional advice. Ki-Ki accepts no responsibility if you rely on site content as if it were formal legal or compliance advice.
Nothing on this site should be treated as Ki-Ki endorsing the views, campaigns, or publications of any client or third party.
9. Third party tools and links
Ki-Ki uses and may link to third party tools and services, such as Cloudflare, Formspree, Discord, email providers, and AI tools like ChatGPT. Links are provided for convenience and context only.
Ki-Ki does not control third party sites or services and is not responsible for their availability, security, or content. Use of any third party service is at your own risk and is subject to that provider’s own terms and policies.
10. Limitation of liability
Ki-Ki tries to keep this site accurate and available, but it is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. There may be errors, omissions, downtime, or changes without notice.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Ki-Ki and Kieron JH will not be liable for:
- Loss of profit, revenue, or business
- Loss of data, goodwill, or reputation
- Indirect or consequential loss arising from use of this site or reliance on its content
- Loss resulting from third party tools or links that you access from this site
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so, for example for death or personal injury resulting from negligence or for fraud.
11. Indemnity
If you misuse this site or breach these terms and that causes loss, damage, or expense, you agree to reimburse Ki-Ki and Kieron JH for reasonable costs that arise. This includes costs linked to investigations, complaints, or claims that stem from your actions.
12. Suspension, blocking, and preservation of logs
Ki-Ki reserves the right to restrict, block, or throttle access where behaviour appears abusive, hostile, or clearly outside normal use. This may happen automatically through security controls or manually after review.
Where there is suspected abuse, attempts to defeat security, or a legal requirement to do so, relevant logs may be preserved and, where appropriate, shared with hosting providers, security partners, or law enforcement.
13. Changes to these terms
Ki-Ki may update these terms from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top of this page shows when they were most recently revised.
If changes are significant, Ki-Ki will take reasonable steps to highlight them, for example by a short notice on the site. Continuing to use the site after changes take effect will be treated as acceptance of the updated terms.
14. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms and any dispute or claim arising from them, or from your use of ki-ki.co.uk, are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
The courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, though Ki-Ki retains the right to bring proceedings in another country if you are based there and local law allows it.
15. Contact and accessibility
